In October 2018 the EU Affairs Committee (SUE) held 6 meetings: no. 233-238. During these meetings the Committee considered:

• • pursuant to Art. 7(4) of the Cooperation Act – EU draft legislative acts concerning i.a. establishing the European Cybersecurity Industrial, Technology and Research Competence Centre (COM(2018) 630), verification procedure related to infringements of rules on the protection of personal data in the context of elections to the EP (COM(2018) 636) or discontinuing seasonal changes of time (COM(2018) 639),
  • pursuant to Art. 151(1) of the Sejm Standing Orders and Art. 3(2) of the Cooperation Act – EC documents concerning i.a. increasing female labour participation (COM(2018) 273), evaluation of Europeana and the way forward (COM(2018) 612 or strengthened cooperation against vaccine preventable diseases (COM(2018) 245),
  • pursuant to Art. 11(1) of the Cooperation Act – EU documents, which were to be discussed by Environment Council, Justice and Home Affairs Council, General Affairs Council, Agriculture and Fisheries Council, Foreign Affairs Council and Economic and Financial Affair Council,
  • pursuant to Art. 8(2) of the Cooperation Act – EU draft legal acts concerning i.a. fishing opportunities for European seabass (COM(2018) 613), accession of Australia to the Agreement on Government Procurement (COM(2018) 622 or autonomous Union tariff quotas for certain fishery products for the period 2019-2020 (COM(2018) 625).

Digitalisation, Innovation and New Technologies Committee

Agriculture and Rural Development Committee

• 23.10.2018, considered the information presented by the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ryszard Zarudzki, on participation in the work of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council in October 2018 (mtg no. 271).
• 02.10.2018, considered the information presented by the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ryszard Zarudzki, on the Common Agricultural Policy after 2020 regarding the Rural Development Program and direct payments (mtg no. 262).

Maritime Economy and Inland Water Transport Committee

• 02.10.2018, took note of the position presented by of the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation, Grzegorz Witkowski, on the draft regulation of the European Parliament and the Council on the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and repealing Regulation (EU) No 508/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council (COM (2018) 390) (mtg no. 99).

In October 2018, 13 draft legislative acts were subject to subsidiarity scrutiny. As of 8 November 2018, the national parliaments submitted 3 reasoned opinions on the non-compliance of the scrutinised draft acts with the subsidiarity principle.
