EU DOCUMENTS IN THE SEJM

In July-August 2019 the EU Affairs Committee (SUE) held 8 meetings: no. 270-277. During these meetings the Committee:

  • considered the Senate resolution concerning the Act on regulation of certain matters relating to the withdrawal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from the European Union and European Atomic Energy Community pursuant to an agreement (paper no. 3632) [mtg no. 272],

  • considered the answer of the Minister of Infrastructure and Development to the desideratum [no. 3] on accelerating the revitalisation of post-industrial spaces in mining areas (possible financing from the EU Support Platform for Coal Regions) [mtg no. 277],

SUBSIDIARITY CHECK IN NATIONAL PARLIAMENTS
According to the information from IPEX database as of 3 September 2019, in July and August 2019, 3 draft legislative acts were subject to subsidiarity scrutiny. The national parliaments submitted no reasoned opinion on the non-compliance of the scrutinised draft acts with the subsidiarity principle.
