In February 2025 the EU Affairs Committee (SUE) held 2 meetings, no. 66-67. During these meetings the Committee:
- pursuant to Article 7(4) of the Cooperation Act, considered:
- proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on cooperation among enforcement authorities responsible for the enforcement of Directive (EU) 2019/633 on unfair trading practices in business-to-business relationships in the agricultural and food supply chain (COM(2024) 576) together with the draft positions of the Republic of Poland [mtg no. 66],
- proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulations (EU) No 1308/2013, (EU) 2021/2115 and (EU) 2021/2116 as regards the strengthening of the position of farmers in the food supply chain (COM(2024) 577) together with the draft positions of the Republic of Poland [mtg no. 66],
- pursuant to Article 151(1) of the Standing Orders of the Sejm and Article 3(2) of the Cooperation Act, considered:
- information on the Foreign Affairs Council meeting planned for 24 February 2025 [mtg no. 66],
- information on the European Council meeting held on 3 February 2025 [mtg no. 66],
- communication from the Commission on countering hybrid threats from the weaponisation of migration and strengthening security at the EU's external borders (COM(2024) 570) together with the Government position [mtg no. 67],
- pursuant to Article 11(1) of the Cooperation Act, considered information on the position the Council of Ministers intends to take during consideration of draft EU legal acts at the meetings of:
- Justice and Home Affairs Council, 6-7 March 2025 - COM(2022) 702, COM(2024) 567 [mtg no. 67],
- according to the proposal of the Committee Bureau, didn't raise any comment to the following EU documents:
- pursuant to Article 7(4) of the Cooperation Act – to 1 draft legislative act: COM(2024) 567 [mtg no. 67],
- pursuant to Article 8(2) of the Cooperation Act – to 5 draft legal acts: COM(2025) 4, 6, 7, 14, 15 [mtg no. 67],
- pursuant to Article 151(1) of the Standing Orders of the Sejm and Article 3(2) of the Cooperation Act – to 4 documents: COM(2024) 572, COM(2025) 5, 8, 10 [mtg no. 67],
- pursuant to Article 21(2) of the Cooperation Act, considered the information from the Council of Ministers on the progress in the exercise of the Presidency [mtg no. 66],
- pursuant to Articles 20(2) and 19 of the Cooperation Act, considered the candidacy of Agnieszka Bartol-Saurel for the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary - Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland to the European Union in Brussels [mtg no. 67].
