In April 2012 the EU Affairs Committee (SUE) held 5 meetings: no. 39-43. During these meetings the Committee:
- scrutinised 64 EU documents,
- adopted two opinions (number 10 and 11)
- together with Foreign Affairs Committee held the first reading of the deputies draft resolution on the procedure of granting consent for ratification of a European Council Decision of 25 March 2011 amending Article 136 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union with regard to a stability mechanism for Member States whose currency is the euro (meeting no. 41),
- heard information on EU macro-regional strategies: evaluation of existing strategies and prospects for the Carpathian Strategy, presented by Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Regional Development Marceli Niezgoda, Undersecretary of State in the Foreign Affairs Ministry Maciej Szpunar and Deputy Chief Inspector for Environmental Protection Roman Jaworski (meeting no. 42).
SUBSIDIARITY SCRUTINY
On 27 April 2012, at the 43rd meeting, the EU Affairs Committee adopted opinion no. 11 on the non-compliance with the principle of subsidiarity of COM(2012) 130 final.
