EU DOCUMENTS IN THE SEJM

In January 2013 the EU Affaires Committee (SUE) held 7 meetings: no. 113-119. During these meetings the Committee:

  • scrutinised 60 EU documents,
  • heard information on the conclusions of the European Council 13-14 December 2012 (meeting no. 113),
  • considered and adopted SUE work plan for 1.01.2013 - 30.06.2013 (meeting no. 113),
  • together with Foreign Affaires Committee (meeting no. 118):
    • met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus Andreas Zenonos and heard information on the summary of Cyprus Presidency of the EU Council,
    • met with the Ambassador of the Ireland Eugene Hutchinson and heard information on the programme of the Irish Presidency of the EU Council.

Proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on improving the gender balance among non-executive directors of companies listed on stock exchanges and related measures

  • 3.01.2013, at the 113th meeting the EU Affaires Committee held the first reading of the committee draft resolution on declaring the proposal COM(2012) 614 to be incompatible with the principle of subsidiarity (paper no. 1003),
  • 4.01.2013, at the 31st sitting the Sejm adopted resolution on declaring the proposal to be incompatible with the principle of subsidiarity (reasoned opinion),
  • 9.01.2013, the resolution was transmitted to the presidents of the European Parliament, Council and European Commission.

  • Government bill on participation of foreign officers or workers in common operations or common rescue actions on the territory of the Republic of Poland [1066],
  • Government bill amending the act on payment under the direct support schemes and some other acts [1054],
  • Government bill amending the act on rail transport and the act amending the act on rail transport [1046].

In January 2013 from among bills uploaded into the UST database earlier, the following acts have been adopted [paper no.]:

  • Act of 25 January 2013 amending the act on payment under the direct support schemes and some other acts [1054],
  • Act of 25 January 2013 amending the act on public offering and conditions governing the introduction of financial instruments to organised trading and on public companies, and some other acts [903],
  • Act of 4 January 2013 amending the act – Water law and some other acts [811].

In January 2013 the following act implementing EU law has been published [paper no.]:

  • Act of 7 December 2012 amending the act on the tax on goods and services and some other acts [805].
