EU DOCUMENTS IN THE SEJM |

In July and August 2017 the EU Affairs Committee (SUE) held 7 meetings: no. 142-148. During these meetings the Committee:
- scrutinised 71 EU documents:
- pursuant to Art. 7(4) of the Cooperation Act – 17 EU draft legislative acts concerning i.a.: monitoring and reporting of CO2 emissions from and fuel consumption of new heavy-duty vehicles, General Budget of the EU for the financial year 2018; harmonisation of gross national income at market prices (GNI Regulation),
- pursuant to Art. 151(1) of the Sejm Standing Orders and Art. 3(2) of the Cooperation Act – 28 EC documents (7 communications, 17 reports, 1 joint report, 1 proposal for regulation and 2 other) concerning i.a.: social dimension of Europe; Interinstitutional Proclamation on the European Pillar of Social Rights; Mid-Term Review of the Capital Markets Union Action Plan,
- pursuant to Art. 11(1) of the Cooperation Act – EU documents, which were to be discussed by: Economic and Financial Affairs Council and Agriculture and Fisheries Council,
- pursuant to Art. 8(2) of the Cooperation Act – 18 EU draft legal acts concerning i.a.: Council decision laying down a simplified procedure for the drawing up of Union positions in the Council of Members of the International Olive Council, Council recommendation on tracking graduates, renewal of the Agreement for scientific and technological cooperation between the European Community and the Federative Republic of Brazil,
- scrutinized information on the Foreign Affairs Council meeting planned for 17 July 2017 and information on the results of the European Council meeting held on 22-23 June 2017 (presented by Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Konrad Szymański) (mtg no. 144).
SUE together with Local Government and Regional Policy Committee:
- considered the Government bill amending the act on principles of realization of programmes in the scope of cohesion policy financed in the financial perspective 2014–2020 and some related acts (paper no. 1636);
- considered amendments tabled during the second reading to bill amending the act on principles of realization of programmes in the scope of cohesion policy financed in the financial perspective 2014–2020 and some related acts (paper no. 1636 and 1695) (mtg no. 146).
