Conference of Speakers of the European Union Parliaments (EUSC)

The Conference of Speakers of the European Union Parliaments

The Conference of Speakers of the European Union Parliaments provides a forum for discussion on the role and responsibilities of national parliaments in the European architecture, forms and instruments of interparliamentary cooperation in EU affairs, as well as challenges facing the European Union. The EUSC also oversees the coordination of interparliamentary activities within the EU. The participants of the Conference are the Speakers of parliaments of the EU Member States and the President of the European Parliament. Meetings are held once a year, in spring, and are organised by the member state holding the Presidency of the EU Council in the second half of the previous year.

Poland, together with the other candidate countries of those days, was invited to participate in the Conference in 2001.
