EUROPEAN DEBATES IN THE SEJM

14 October 2021 - the Sejm accepted the information on the Republic of Poland’s participation in the activities of the European Union in January-June 2021 (Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union) - resolution. The information was earlier debated, on 1 October 2021, in plenary with participation of the Minister for European Union Affairs, Konrad Szymański (verbatim record/PL point 37).

14 October 2021 - the Sejm held debate, with participation of the Minister for European Union Affairs, Konrad Szymański, on the information on threats to Poland's position in the European Union and the impact of government policy in relations with EU institutions on all areas of socio-economic life, from climate, through education, local government, to agriculture, investments, development and security of Poland (verbatim record/PL point 35).

    • proposal for directive of the EP and of the Council amending Directive (EU) 2018/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council, Regulation (EU) 2018/1999 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Directive 98/70/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the promotion of energy from renewable sources, and repealing Council Directive (EU) 2015/652 (COM(2021) 557) together with the draft position of the Republic of Poland [mtg no. 93],

  • adopted the desideratum (link (EN)) on including nuclear energy in the EU green finance taxonomy, addressed to the President of the Council of Ministers, with a request to transmit it to the Board of the Conference on the Future of Europe [mtg no. 93].
