In October 2025 the EU Affairs Committee (SUE) held 9 meetings, no. 96-104.
During these meetings the Committee:
- pursuant to Article 7(4) of the Cooperation Act, considered:
- proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Directive 2004/37/EC as regards the addition of substances and setting limit values in its Annexes I, III and IIIa (COM(2025) 418) together with the draft positions of the Republic of Poland [mtg no. 96],
- proposal for a Council directive on the structure and rates of excise duty applied to manufactured tobacco and tobacco related products (recast) (COM(2025) 580) together with the draft positions of the Republic of Poland [mtg no. 101],

- proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on European fisheries and aquaculture statistics and repealing Regulations (EC) No 1921/2006, (EC) No 762/2008, (EC) No 216/2009, (EC) No 217/2009 and (EC) No 218/2009 (COM(2025) 435) together with the draft positions of the Republic of Poland [mtg no. 102],
- pursuant to Article 151(1) of the Standing Orders of the Sejm considered:
- information on the position taken on behalf of the European Union in the Association Committee in Trade Configuration established by the Association Agreement between the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community, and their Member States of the one part, and the Republic of Moldova, of the other part, as regards the reduction and elimination of customs duties (COM(2025) 454) together with the Government position [mtg no. 96, 101],
- proposal for a Council regulation laying down the multiannual financial framework for the years 2028 to 2034 (COM(2025) 571) together with the draft positions of the Republic of Poland [mtg no. 98],
- proposal for a Council decision on the system of own resources of the European Union and repealing Decision (EU, Euratom) 2020/2053 (COM(2025) 574) together with the draft positions of the Republic of Poland [mtg no. 98],
- pursuant to Article 18(4) of the Cooperation Act, considered:
- the information on legislative work related to the implementation of directives for which the transposition deadline has already expired or would expire within the next three months (as at 15 September 2025) [mtg no. 87, 102],

- together with the Foreign Affairs Committee, held the first reading of the Government's draft act on the ratification of the Investment Protection Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, of the other part, drawn up in Hanoi on 30 June 2019 (paper no. 1747) [mtg no. 99],
- took note of the information on the Annual Report of the European Court of Auditors concerning the implementation of the European Union budget in 2024 (reported by a member of the ECA Marek Opioła) [mtg no. 100],
- examined the government draft budget act for 2026 (paper no. 1749) and adopted an opinion thereon for the Public Finances Committee in the scope of the SUE competence [mtg no. 104].
