Interparliamentary Conference on Stability, Economic Coordination and Governance in the European Union constituted on its inaugural meeting on 16-17 October 2013, on the basis of the EUSC decision taken in Nicosia on 21-23 April 2013. The establishment of the Conference is the realization of Article 13 of the Treaty on Stability, Coordination and Governance (TSCG), which provides for setting up a conference of representatives of the relevant committees of the EP and of national parliaments in order to discuss budgetary policies and other issues covered by the Treaty.

The Interparliamentary Conference is composed of delegations of the national parliaments of the EU Member States and the European Parliament. Polish Sejm is represented by chairpersons of three committees:
     - European Union Affairs Committee,
     - Public Finance Committee,
     - Economy and Development Committee (in the 7th Sejm - Economy Committee)
or by representatives designated by them.
