In February 2018 the EU Affairs Committee (SUE) held 7 meetings: no. 182-188. During these meetings the Committee:
- scrutinised 92 EU documents:
- pursuant to Art. 7(4) of the Cooperation Act – 10 EU draft legislative acts concerning i.a., mutual recognition of goods lawfully marketed in another Member State; transparent and predictable working conditions in the European Union; prudential supervision of investment firms,
- pursuant to Art. 151(1) of the Sejm Standing Orders and Art. 3(2) of the Cooperation Act – 48 EC documents (17 communications, 29 reports, 1 joint communication and 1 proposal for regulation) concerning i.a., implementation of EU standardisation policy and the contribution of European standards to EU strategic policies; structure and rates of excise duty applied to tobacco products; strengthening Europe's energy networks,
- pursuant to Art. 11(1) of the Cooperation Act – EU documents, which were to be discussed by Economic and Financial Affairs Council, Justice and Home Affairs Council and Environmental Council,
- pursuant to Art. 8(2) of the Cooperation Act – 23 EU draft legal acts concerning i.a., Council Recommendation on key competences for lifelong learning; Council Decision on the position to be adopted, on behalf of the EU, in the International Civil Aviation Organization; Council Recommendation on promoting common values, inclusive education, and the European dimension of teaching,
- considered and issued for the Marshal of the Sejm an opinion on Nowoczesna Deputies' Club's proposal for "Information of the Prime Minister on the reasons for the failure of the government of Law and Justice in attempts to transfer the seats of the European Banking Authority (EBA) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) from London to Warsaw " to be presented at the meeting of the Sejm (mtg no. 187),
- considered information for the Sejm and the Senate on the Republic of Poland's participation in the activities of the European Union in July-December 2017 (Estonian Presidency of the EU Council) (presented by the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Konrad Szymański) (mtg no. 187),
- scrutinized: information on the European Council meeting planned for 22-23 March 2018 and information on the Foreign Affairs Council meeting held on 26 February 2018 (presented by the Secretary of State in the MFA Konrad Szymański), also information on the Foreign Affairs Council (ministers of defence) meeting planned for 6 March 2018 (presented by the Secretary of State in the Ministry of National Defence (MND) Wojciech Skurkiewicz) (mtg no. 187).

- considered information of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of National Defence on new European Union initiatives in the field of defence: Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO), Coordinated Annual Review on Defence (CARD) and European Defence Fund (EDF) (presented by the Undersecretary of State in the MFA Bartosz Cichocki and the Secretary of State in the MND Wojciech Skurkiewicz) (SUE mtg no. 183).
