In May 2018 the EU Affairs Committee (SUE) held 6 meetings: no. 200-205. During these meetings the Committee:
- scrutinised 86 EU documents:
- pursuant to Art. 7(4) of the Cooperation Act – 15 EU draft legislative acts concerning i.a., corporate taxation (COM(2018) 147), digital services tax (COM(2018) 148), Community code on visas (COM(2018) 252),
- pursuant to Art. 151(1) of the Sejm Standing Orders and Art. 3(2) of the Cooperation Act – 23 EC documents (8 communications, 10 reports, 1 joint communication, 2 joint reports, 1 recommendation and 1 reflection paper) concerning i.a., deepening of the EMU (COM(2017) 291), 2018 European semester (COM(2018) 120), Security Union (COM(2018) 211),
- pursuant to Art. 11(1) of the Cooperation Act – EU documents, which were to be discussed by Economic and Financial Affairs Council, Competitiveness Council and Justice and Home Affairs Council,
- pursuant to Art. 8(2) of the Cooperation Act – 21 EU draft legal acts concerning i.a., Protocol 31 to the EEA Agreement (COM(2018) 204), European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (COM(2018) 230), access to social protection (COM(2018) 132),
- considered, pursuant to Art. 18(4) of the Cooperation Act, information on legislative proceedings relating to the implementation of EU directives for which the transposition deadline has expired or will expire within the next three months, (as of 23.02.2018), presented by the representatives of appropriate ministries (mtg no. 200),
- held the first reading and considered the Deputies' draft resolution on the future shape of the cohesion policy in the EU, paper no. 2427 (mtg no. 201),
- scrutinized information on the Foreign Affairs Council meetings (Council configurations: ministers of development and ministers of trade) planned for 22 May 2018 (presented by: Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Konrad Szymański and Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology Mariusz Haładyj) (mtg no. 202 and 204),
- considered amendments tabled during the second reading to the draft resolution on the future shape of the cohesion policy in the EU, papers no. 2427 and 2484 (mtg no. 205).
